New Life and Easter

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry I didn't do a post for Resurrection Sunday yet. Friday, Baby Olive Joy
Clough was born! She's cute. We visited with Patrick and Carrie for a while, then
we had to go home and bake for Sunday (several projects), including another
cake request.

We had some wonderful, spiritually uplifting conversation with Patrick and Carrie. It was
also nice to get to know them a little more.

It was a great service Sunday at church. The weather so beautiful, just perfect for
remembering Jesus being raised from the dead, just perfect!
Our dad has in his book, Thoughts from Him an account of the crucifixtion, how brutal it was.

I enjoy on Sunday during Breaking of Bread service, remembering Jesus' courageous act of
love, how He suffered unspeakable agony, physical and emotional, for me, for us because of
our sins. And God made Him to be the sin, and poured His indignant wrath on His
innocent Son, then He turned His back on Him: our sin layed on Jesus was so hideous,
so filthy, so suffocating that God couldn't stand to look at it!

When Jesus rose, He had defeated death. It says in the Bible that He has the keys of death
and hell. "...and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive
forevermore, and I have the keys of death and Hades." (Revelation 1:18)

Sunday afternoon, we spent a quiet day at home and then headed to Aunt Jean's
for our Easter family gathering.
