Christ the Lord is Risen Today!

I'm thankful for Easter. I'm thankful that Jesus Christ not only
willingly, freely died the most grueling death in history
to save a lost sinner like me, and then rose again to life
for eternity! I'm thankful that my immediate family and
me have received Jesus as our personal Savior, and that
He is indeed alive!

The Gospel of John film production is my
favorite live-action portrayal of Jesus' life and
ministry here on earth.

Dealing with the Pharisees and the woman
caught in adultery. He did not compromise
His own law!

When he met Nathanael.

John the Baptist-One of my favorite verses: "Behold, the Lamb
of God who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29

John 3:16

Meeting Peter

Visiting the Samaritans after talking with the woman at the well.

Palm Sunday

Raising Lazarus from the dead

He "did not come to be served, but to serve."

"Love one another." John 13:34

John 15-17

"It is finished!!" John 19:30

O Head Once Filled with Bruises

1. O Head, once filled with bruises,
Oppressed with pain and scorn,
O'er-whelmed with sore abuses,
Mocked with a crown of thorn!
O Head, to death once wounded
In shame upon the tree,
In glory now surrounded
With brightest majesty!

2. Thou Lord of all transcendent,
Thou life-creating Sun
To worlds on Thee dependent,
Yet bruised and spit upon!
O Lord! what Thee tormented
Was our sin's heavy load;
We had the debt augmented,
Which Thou didst pay in blood.

And He is still watching over us, even if we
can't see Him and sometimes even though we
feel like He isn't nearby!

"...And lo, I am with you always,
even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:20

  1. O sacred head, now wounded,
with grief and shame weighed down,
    now scornfully surrounded
    with thorns, your only crown.
    O sacred head, what glory
    and blessing you have known!
    Yet, though despised and gory,
I claim you as my own.

    What language shall I borrow
    to thank you, dearest Friend,
    for this, your dying sorrow,
    your pity without end?
    Lord, make me yours forever,
    a loyal servant true,
    and let me never, never
    outlive my love to you.

HE IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED! ALLELUIA!!!!!!!

  3. They are from the film The Gospel of John, with Christopher Plummer as the narrator. Yes, I still hope for a collie someday.

  4. I need to watch this movie. I should have watched it instead of Passion of the Christ which left me a bit traumatized.

Collies are wonderful dogs. I have two and they are a joy.
