Happy Belated

Happy belated 14th birthday to James Wilkerson! Hard to
believe you're 14 now. You growing into a young man. We
love you so much. Remember, "Part of becoming a man is
about taking responsibility". - Courageous

We pray for you, James  and may God bless you and guide
you in whatever He calls you to do to serve your purpose
for His Kingdom.

Happy birthday!

Cute

I love our dog and am thankful God gave her to us. She's cute and friendly.
I love my family very, very much too.  It's starting to get warm again, but
I can't really complain: most of August has been just lovely, God was so
gracious about that.  Wow! It's almost September already. But that means
that fall is almost here.

Time to go get a hair cut!

A couple weeks ago, we had Leona and Aunt Jean come over for breakfast.

George is getting long.
George and me
Rachel came over yesterday and made cookies.

Iced oatmeal cookies.
Apparently someone couldn't wait to taste it!

I didn't take these photos, but Mrs. Wilkerson shared them with me and
I want to share them with you of my good friend, Sarah and her family.

Let the Rocks Cry Out

"As I travel through this land, all the beauty I behold,
From the glory of the mountains to the mysteries untold,
How I marvel at the wonders that my God has set in place,
I'm reminded He's the only One deserving of my praise!

Let the rocks cry out,
If I don't lift my voice.
All creation shout the glories of His name,
Lift your eyes to the sky, see His banner
Lifted high, praise the name of Jesus Christ,
Let the rocks out!

When I sit back and consider all the lilies of the field,
Hear the crashing of the thunder, see the tiny things revealed,
And my heart can rejoice in that the Father's master plan,
Saw eternity within my soul before all time began!

Let the rocks cry out,
If I don't lift my voice.
All creation shout the glories of His name,
Lift your eyes to the sky, see His banner
Lifted high, praise the name of Jesus Christ,
Let the rocks cry out!"
-Rachel Wissmann

"And some of the Pharisees called to Him
from the crowd,'Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.'
But He answered and said to them,' I tell you
that if these should keep silent, the stones
would immediately cry out."
Luke 19:40

The Mighty Power

1. "I sing the mighty pow'r of God,
That made the mountains rise,
That spread the flowing seas abroad,
And built the lofty skies.

I sing the wisdom that ordained
The sun to rule the day;
The moon shines full at His command,
And all the stars obey.

2. I sing the goodness of the Lord,
That filled the earth with food;

He formed the creatures with His Word,
And then pronounced them good.

Lord, how Thy wonders are displayed,
Wher'er I turn my eye,

If I survey the ground I tread,
Or gaze upon the sky!

3. There's not a plant or flower below,
But makes Thy glories known;

And clouds arise, and tempests blow,
By order from Thy throne;
While all that borrows life from thee
Is ever in Thy care,

And everywhere that man may be,
Thou, God, art present there."
-Isaac Watts

This song has been on my mind the past couple weeks and lately the weather
has been just beautiful!

"You visit the earth and water it, You greatly
enrich it;" Psalm 65:9

"Let the peoples praise You, O God ; let all the
peoples praise You." Psalm 67:3

"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord!"
Psalm 150 : 6

Well, Lord willing, on Monday I go in to get my wisdom teeth extracted.
Labor Day weekend is Turkey Hill, Lord willing. We have a birthday
cake to decorate soon after that! That's all I can think of for now.
It's late and I'm tired.

P.S.
I don't know about you, but I'm eagerly anticipating the autumn season!
