Honey Bun Cake Recipe

1 pkg. butter (yellow) cake mix

3/4 C. oil

4 eggs

1 C. buttermilk

1 T. sugar

4 tsp. cinnamon

3/4 C. brown sugar

Mix together first five ingredients and beat until well blended. Pour half of
batter in 9x13'' pan. Spoon on brown sugar-cinnamon mixture. Pour other
half  of batter over this. Swirl lightly with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees F for
30 minutes.

Glaze:
2 T. milk                                                               

1 C. powdered sugar

Punch holes in hot cake with fork. Pour on glaze. For a really moist cake, make
double glaze.

  3. Wow, that cake looks delicious! If I can find somewhere that sells buttermilk around here, and convert the cup measurements to fluid ounces/millilitres (which is what we use in England), then I'm going to try making this! Just one question...what weight is the packet of cake mix? Thanks!

  4. Regular yellow cake mix- Net. Wt. 18.25 oz.
    Gluten free yellow cake mix-Net. wt. 15oz.

    1. Sorry; we use Hodgson Mill brand for the gluten free.
      15oz or 425g.
      The yellow cake mix ( regular ) is 18.25oz or 517g.
