I've tried to avoid doing this post for a long time, but I feel now to share it.
For a year and a half, we were homeschooling our friend, Rachel. What I'm
trying to say is...is that...last October, we had a crisis, and now Rachel is
staying with us, she's been placed in our care right now. Readers, PLEASE
do not ask us questions regarding the circumstances!!!!! Legally, we are not
permitted to discuss it, plus it's personally so hard. Please don't ask us what
happened. Rachel's doing good, and that's what's important. But the changes
and other things have been so difficult for us and so painfully sad, it hurts so much!
Being involved in a trial like this is nothing I ever, ever imagined! I wanted you to know,
so that if you see pictures of Rachel in our home or anything, I won't have to explain it.
If you readers, do think of us, PLEASE pray for us! This has not been an easy thing
to do, and it still isn't. Please JUST pray for us. You can ask how Rachel's doing,
but any comments asking information of the situation will be deleted, as we're not
allowed to talk about it.
But please do pray for me and my family!
Rebecca
"When the way is dark, and I am afraid,
And don't know what to do,
Help me take my eyes off me, Lord.
And keep my eyes on You!"
-Trusting You
Rebecca you and your family are to be commended for helping Rachel during this time of trial. You will love her as your own and make her feel that she is a worthwhile Child of God. She will be protected by the hand of the Father who sees us and loves us no matter what. She will know that Christ Jesus is her protector and his saints and angels will stand along side of her no matter what she is up against.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to all of you.
I said a prayer for all of you and will continue to keep your family in my prayers. And yes, I totally understand the need to protect Rachel's privacy. May God bless and watch over Rachel and all of you as you guide her through this difficult time in her life.
DeleteNo questions asked, and lots of prayers coming your way from here. Thank God for your family and your love of Rachel and providing her shelter from whatever is happening in her life. God Bless you all! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI don't comment here but rarely, but I enjoy reading your blog as a former St. Louis girl myself. Whatever the situation with your friend, it is easy to see from across the internet that your home is one filled with love and faith and kindness, a refuge from life's trials, a home with an open door and open hearts. I pray all goes well for everyone.
