He Made It!!!

His real one was Friday but through God's hand and
lots of love from his Daddy and Mommy,  we
celebrated George's very 1st birthday! It's a miracle!
When Leona was carrying George, they were informed
of so many major health problems he was most likely going
to have, and that he'd probably die in utero. And that he
wouldn't last long if he even did make it to birth.
Some of the doctors tried to encourage Jeremy and Leona,
others did not.  Some even suggested to them that they should
do away with George before he was even born. They said,"No".

After he was born, he spent the first month of his life in the hospital,
and sometimes with all his tests and heart problems we thought
he might never come home. But he did! And earlier this year, the
doctors easily fixed his small cleft lip.

Saturday was a gorgeous day. It was sunny and cool. George's
party theme was jungle/safari. It was a simple, cute, quiet,
relaxing party.
