we're at a certain place. Oh, I can't wait for Memorial Day weekend! Because...
Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp-family weekend!
I'm doing better, still have the cough, and a tad draggy. Annah has the cough and a
fever off and on. We would like to get better.
Yesterday, I wanted to do some baking. I wanted to make chocolate chip muffins (for
a friend who likes chocolate), but couldn't find the recipe, so I used the blueberry
muffin recipe, just used chocolate chips instead of preserves. The Lord blessed my
efforts and they turned out good. I also used a special touch that a friend of ours
uses for some delicious muffins she makes- dipping the top of the muffins in melted
butter, and then brown sugar! (Except she makes hers with cinnamon sugar.) We
also took the rest to Donald and Jennifer, and then Aunt Jean's.
Yesterday, Chloe got a shave. She's so cute. She looks like a puppy.
We could use a little prayer. I'm having an MRI done on Saturday. When I went to
the doctor on Thursday, they were concerned about my eyes, so they're doing an
MRI. They said that it could be nothing, but they want to make sure. I'm a little
nervous because I've never had one before (Dad's had lots of them though). It'd
be great if they found nothing, but we're hoping that if they do find something,
that it will be minor and they can easily fix it. But please pray.

"The Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime;
and His song will be with me in the night, a prayer to
the God of my life." Psalm 42:8
Praying for your MRI, Rebecca! I hope you will share more about the reason for it and the results so we know better how to specifically pray for you.
ReplyDeleteAnd just to tell you, dipping muffins in melted butter just adds a lot of fat and calories. Instead, before you bake your muffins, simply sprinkle the tops with a mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon and then just bake normally.
Thank you for letting me know that about the muffins.
ReplyDeleteThe reason I had the MRI was because when I went to the doctor last week for sickness, a medical student came in and as she tested my eyes, she noticed a little trouble I was having with some peripheral vision in my right eye. Mom noticed it too, and so did the eye doctor later that day. (Plus, I was see double when she tested my eyes and my focus has had to be a little harder with some things.)They ordered an MRI to see whether or not anything's wrong.
Thank you for praying! Rebecca
