Giving Thanks

I have so much to be thankful for, and I can't
help but say that my specific list of things I'm
thankful for are the same as last year and
the year before. I'm thankful for you,
readers. Here's a few things I can add to my
thankful list:

-God's Word in our own language

-Our foster child and that God brought him to us

-Color and music, I can't imagine what life would be like
without them!

-Jesus going to the cross of His own free will!

And as always, I'm thankful for my family, our home,
our vehicles, Dad's steady, well-paying job, our health,
and our freedom and liberty in this country.

  1. I'm thankful for the opportunity to pursue a Master's Degree in the Humanity of Religions if I so choose. I'm thankful for my husband and that he has learned so much about safe technology this year. I'm thankful for my daughter, who moved to Chicago and started a new career teaching, has moved into an apt with a roommate at age 26, and has found so many good and faithful friends. I am thankful for my son and his dedication to his almost 91-year-old grandma (who I'm more than thankful for), his willingness to take on even the smallest task for her and his excellence at computer skills. I'm thankful for a pastor who is a wonderful teacher and his excellent Bible Studies about other religions and how it relates to Christianity. And last but not least, I'm thankful for my dogs who have been there on my low days and kept me laughing instead of crying.

  2. I have a question. I'm curious if you attend college or university. I think you are a talented artist and would benefit from advanced education in art. Are you currently enrolled in college?

  3. Well, in 2011, I did take an advanced art class and I do see how my drawings have incredibly improved since then.
Right now I am not in college, but I am considering what new things I just might be trying next year if God wills! I don't want to mention what they are at the moment, in case it doesn't happen. But I need to pray for direction.

Thank you for your comment. FYI, these drawings I posted are done in my free time, and they're part of my Fanfiction stories, though you won't find them on the website. Writing, reading, and drawing are three of my most favorite things to do (those and looking at photos)!
