Good News and a Little Not So Good News

Hello, everyone!

The good news is Dad is home with us now! Mom and Annah brought
him home on Sunday afternoon. He's doing good, trying to catch up on
things  (not labor things) and get things accomplished. He's definitely
his usual self. I'm thankful that he's even here at all, we came close
to losing him twice after both procedures. But the Lord spared him
again and for that I'm so thankful.

The not so good news is that I'm still sick, so I'm trying not to give
it to anyone else, especially Dad! He doesn't need that. I'm trying to
stay in my room and do things in there. Thankfully, I don't have a
fever now. Mom took me to the doctor yesterday, we haven't heard
yet about the results from my blood test but I might have mononucleosis.
I had it when I was 13-years-old, and it feels like it. He said my throat and
inside my right ear look absolutely terrible. I can believe that. My throat
had been hurting horribly and my ear-yuck! Sunday night my ear started
hurting, and then it felt clogged up, and still feels that way even more so.
I can hear out of it, but it sure feels weird, like when you go swimming
and get water in your ears. So I'm on an antibiotic and have a cream for my
ear. The doctor said I have a bacterial infection in my ear. I'm not sure
how I got it, but I'm trying to rest and keep my germs to myself.

I hope everyone else is having a more pleasant things to think of.

Please do pray that Mom, Dad, and Annah do not get sick from me.
I don't want that to happen. And also for Dad as he recovers.

Rebecca

  1. Sending prayers for you. Do you have a heating pad or a rice bag (you can make them out of an old long cotton sock filled with rice and tied or sewed)0?

Lay down with the warm sack or heating pad on your infected ear. It can help with the clogging. I had horrible ear aches for a while and finally my ear drum self punctured and the ick drained out.

Glad your dad is home. Praying for a swift recovery and health for the whole family as well.
